Privacy
Your photo stays on your device. The editing engine runs inside your browser (WebAssembly). Opening, editing and exporting your photo happens on your computer or phone; the full-resolution file is never uploaded. Finding the subject (for background removal and background effects) also runs locally with an AI model downloaded to your browser.
What is sent when you describe an edit. To plan an edit we send your instruction, a small preview of the current image (at most 768 pixels on the long side) and the list of edits so far to our server, which forwards them to an AI model provider. We don’t store the preview or the instruction.
Generative edits (only when you use them). Removing an object, generating a new background or extending a photo can’t be done on your device. When you start one, the part of your photo involved (resized to at most 1536 pixels), a mask of the area to change and your description are sent through our server to our AI provider. The result is stored by our AI infrastructure under an unguessable link so we can deliver it to you; we don’t publish it or use it for anything else. The finished result is kept on your device as part of your edit. Nothing is sent for generative edits unless you click Generate, Extend or Remove.
Account. If you sign in (with Google or an emailed code), we keep your email address, name (from Google) and your credit balance and purchase history, so you can use and buy credits. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your card details. A cookie keeps you signed in for up to 7 days.
Shared looks. When you click “Share look”, the list of edits (commands and their settings, plus the first instruction as a title) is stored so the link works. No image is stored.
On your device. Your recent editing sessions (the original files, their edits and any versions you saved — up to six) are kept in your browser’s storage so you can continue later. Remove one with the ✕ next to it on the home page, or clear your browser data. Batch edits (“Apply to more photos”) also run entirely on your device.
Usage statistics. To learn whether the editor works for people, the page sends anonymous usage events to our server: which page you landed on, the steps you reached (opened a photo, an edit was planned, an export finished), timings, counts, the file type (like “jpg”), your device class and country. These events never contain your photo, file names, the text you type or the AI’s replies, and there are no cookies: a visit is grouped by a random id kept only for that browser tab, plus a local count of how many times this browser has visited. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are not measured at all.
Abuse protection. AI requests are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and rate limits, which process your IP address.
